The Ezra Klein Shown -Ross Douthat on Trump, Mysticism and Psychedelics

In the last few years I have become very interested in the nature of consciousness and reality, and how these relate to spiritual experiences and religion. This article spoke to me. The article is from the April 25, 2025, NY Times. 

Though the first part of the article relates to Donald Trump, I was more intrigued by what follows, a discussion of spiritual experience and religion.  The Catholic and Jewish religions are most discussed, but some of the conversation relates to all religions.
